Week 8 - Jelly Bean
On 19 September 2003, Sharon and I were
on our way to the hospital to get a first glimpse of our baby. This was a
big
occasion for us because we had been trying for a few years to start
a family, and then finally one day, it happened. We were very excited!
After a short wait in the Nuclear Medicince Centre at John James Hospital, we were shuffled into a small
dark room, and then the ultrasound began...We didn't know what to expect for our first ultrasound,
but we soon found out. At the 8 week stage not much can be seen except
for a small pulse, which was the baby's heart beating. This was the first
baby photo of Junior, and because of his shape, we named it Jelly
Bean!!
A Jelly Bean at only 1.02cm!
