2 Bubs, 2 Years Old...
25 November 2008

So much has been happening, that it is finally great to have a moment to kick back and update everyone with the latest in the Dalla Costa household...

As per the title, we have hit a milestone in the twins' lives...on November 8 they turned "The BIG 2", and wow, they have changed so much.

Everyday something gets just that little bit easier with them.
We ask them to get into their chairs for breakfast and they do.
They let you know when they are hungry or thirsty.
When we go for drives we open the car door, they climb in and after a short game of chasing them around the inside, they climb into their seats waiting to be clipped in.

They totally got spoiled on their birthday too, getting presents from Mummy and Daddy, but also Uncles and Aunties, Nonna's and Nonno's - They had a great day...No big birthday parties though..Just lots of family fun!
Kaitlyn had a great day too, she got presents as well, just not as many.
That evening we took every one out for a milkshake at their favourite place, The Tower (Telstra Tower). Now we don't just go to Telstra Tower because Daddy can get in for free, being and employee and all, we go becasue the kids love milkshakes, running around in circles and then going out to the extra windy viewing deck, which freaks them out a little!!

Some other little things they do is shake their booty when familiar music comes on. Morgan gets upset and Cries when I hum the Godfather theme Music, she curls the bottom lip over and cuddles in, Bryce and Morgan have both said to me "Don't cry" - So cute...Bryce loves a wrestle. AND they still love a good ol fashioned nudie run around the house! Giggling all the way while mummy and daddy chase after their little behinds.

This really seems to be the time when they are really cute and enjoyable. They play a lot more with each other, and individually, Morgan and her Fairy dresses and Bryce with his Trucks and Choo Choo's!

At this stage we have started toilet training, they have only just mastered the cot escaping! SO this weekend it is big beds for everyone and then massive garage sale of baby stuff!
Little Miss Kaitlyn is doing really well at school, making new little friends and going on great little excursions. The other day Red Hill Primary took the little ones across to Red Hill Shops to Meet the Butcher and then Post a letter home to Mummy and Daddy. The school has also taken them to the Jerrabomberra Wetlands, had a visit from Kenny Koala and A reptile man came in to show them lizards and snakes.

Next year is BIG school, which is super sad for us, but super exciting for her!!!

Our little grub is growing up so quickly, she is still a great big sister though. Just the other day she snatched a train back off a little boy at a play area and said "No! Thats my Brothers!" and gave it back to Bryce....Ahhh thats what family is for!

Like me this year, Sharon also got one year older, and I'm sure you did too, but for her birthday, she bought tickets to Cirque de Solei - Dralion! Kaitlyn, Sharon and I went out and saw the amazing show! IT WAS AMAZING - Kaitlyn particularly loved the fairy costumes and pretty lights!
They do grow up soooo fast, I still want to Bonsai them - If I just trim a little bit of each year, surely they will stay small forever??!?!?!?!
OK Now House stuff...
Last time I wrote, we were waiitng for approval to put a hole in the ground!! Well it has finally happened, we have lots of holes in the ground - and it is very exciting!! so far...
House Limed Out, Footing and Pier Holes Excavated and Cleaned out, Trench mesh in, Footings Poured and levelled, drainage done, bricklayers in and out for base brickwork, all back filled and compacted, slab water proofing done, chairs and steel reinforcing in and all boarded up waiting for a slab to be poured this week!!
So Yes! It is amazing, worrying, exciting, all at the same time...but not as much responsibility as trying to be a good Dad!

The family are all good, we are excited about the prospect of building to our new home! Very Excited!
Enjoy lots of piccies and be prepared to be updated again soon!!
Congratulations to my little bro Steve and his wife Kylie on their lovely wedding down the coast!!
We all wish you guys the best and lots of Love, and we all had an extremely fantastic time!
